New Electoral Boundary Proposed for Collingwood-Blue Mountains Area

The Commission that oversees Electoral Boundaries is looking at tweaking a couple a local ridings to account for population growth.
The proposed redistribution would see a new riding of Collingwood-Blue Mountains take in most of the existing riding of Simcoe Grey. The new riding would consist of Collingwood, The Blue Mountains and Wasaga Beach.
It would also take in Grey Highlands, Clearview, Essa and Mulmur and the part of Adjula- Tosorontio that lies north of Highway 89.
The commission has scheduled public hearings next month to gather feedback.
