A return to shop by an area resident at a Midland Ave, Midland convenience store netted the shopper a one-way trip to the police station after the clerk recognized the shopper as the suspect in the previous night’s theft incident at the store.
The OPP Communication Centre dispatched a member of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment to the incident and after a brief at-scene investigation, located and arrested Tyler COPEGOG 21 years of no fixed address, Midland nearby for the criminal offence of Adult Theft under $5000, and further with Adult Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court at a later date.
