Effective immediately, the town of Wasaga Beach will no longer allow commenting on its social media platforms.
Mayor Nina Bifolchi explains why.
Effective today, we will no longer allow commenting on our social media platforms. We are making this change due to individuals in our community who are using the pages to bully, spread hate, and misinformation. People will still have the option to e-mail us, call, or share feedback on our Ideas page on Let's Talk Wasaga Beach. Please watch a video from Mayor Nina Bifolchi to learn more about this new direction. #WasagaBeach https://www.letstalkwasagabeach.ca/idea-box

Bifolchi says it is not about differing opinions or the Town trying to control the narrative. She says it’s about a small group of people who merely want to spread hate and lies online.
