In partnership with Events for Life, the Town of The Blue Mountains would like to invite all residents and community members to participate in the community mural project.
Through collaboration with the Mural Mosaic group, the community mural project aims to bring the community together and celebrate the resiliency of The Blue Mountains through challenging times.

Once your participation is confirmed, you can select either a blue or green tile to paint. On any small square canvass, cardstock or paper, create your own unique design using blue or green paint. Once your artwork is complete, you will be asked to submit a photo of your creation digitally, with your final artistic design being combined by the Mural Mosaic group to create the final mural.
“Events for Life is so grateful to be partnering with the Town of The Blue Mountains on this exciting collaborative community project,” says Barb Weeden, Executive Director of Events for Life. “The mural will represent the courage, strength, and resilience the Events for Life participants had to weather the pandemic. Our roots are planted in this community, and together we will stand strong.”
The finished mural will be eight feet wide by eight feet tall and will feature the artwork of approximately 400 members of the community. Tiles will be available through the website until the submission deadline of Monday, July 26, 2021.
“Our community was honoured to participate in the Canada 150 mosaic program that saw the creation of our beautiful apple tree mural currently on display outside of town hall,” says Mayor Alar Soever. “Through these challenging times, the town has continued to be inspired by our community’s spirit and resiliency over the course of the pandemic, and this new mural will serve as a token of remembrance and celebration of what we have been able to achieve together.”
The final community mural will be revealed in mid-August and will be displayed in a town facility.
