Blue Mountain Village is looking for entertainment staff this winter.
It is looking for Santas, Elves, Snow Queens and Yetis for part-time weekends and holidays.
POSITION PURPOSE
Welcome guests to the resort; pose for physically distant photos, mascots must be outgoing, social individuals. Mascots appear at events and participate in resort activities to create a memorable experience for guests and families. They must be physically fit to make an effective mascot. You may be asked to assist in the Events tasks generated by the Marketing and Events team. Your priority will be to assist the Events and Ambassador Team in the Village with the highest possible level of service, enthusiasm and professionalism. In accordance with BMVA strategic objectives and yearly business plan, this position is responsible to execute experiential based festivals, events and activities in line with the Village brand experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Welcome guests to the resort and pose for photos.
- Outgoing individual who work well with others, including children of all ages, different demographics, ethnicities and languages.
- Must be in good physical condition to both wear heavy costumes and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Entertainment Staff must be able to read individual social cues to understand the level of interaction each guest may want.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Be a Village ambassador, communicate and connect with resort partners, suppliers, stakeholders and visitors in line with the Village brand and BMVA strategy to develop memorable guest experiences.
- Knowledge of the Resort, Village attractions, and the surrounding area.
- When required, educate and direct guests on the NEW traffic-flow management plan and Personal Responsibility Code.
Physical Demands
- Most work tasks are performed outdoors
- Must be able to stand in an outdoor environment for up to 7-10 hours per day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally and be in good physical condition.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
